With the large number of mortgages schemes available it is sometime hard for people to recognise or understand which best suits their needs. The lowest interest rate payable is not necessarily the best advice. Redemption penalties imposed by some lenders have been seen as high as £8,000 should the borrower wish to move or change their mortgage at a later date. Some mortgage rates are not portable to another property should the borrower wish to move home. Some lenders have very strict lending terms, which may not suit everyone’s status and needs.  It is therefore important to get reliable advice.

Tip: Did you know that some independent advisers may only arrange mortgage loans with a limited number of mortgage lenders, because of the financial incentives they receive from these organisations and some can only provide limited advice because some lenders will not accept applications from them.
