Kinmel Bay and Towyn are two parishes situated on the coastline between Rhyl and Abergele in the county of Conwy Borough Council. Being urban areas within a few minutes drive to the A55 Expressway linking North Wales makes both these towns an ideal base for commuters, including rail links at Aberegele or Rhyl to Crewe, Manchester and London. Many commute to Chester, Manchester and the Wirral areas. Kinmel Bay amenities include Shops, Bank, Post Office, Medical Centre, Leisure Centre, Junior School, Sand Dunes and Beach. There is also a light industrial estate to the south. Towyn is famous for it’s holiday parks, beach and Tir Prince Harness Racing track. Amenities include shops and entertainment centres predominately towards the sea front, while further inland away from the holiday parks are popular residential areas for family and those in retirement with homes of various styles across the price ranges to the executive houses, including modern developments on the outskirts. |
