St Asaph lies between Denbigh and the coastal resort of Rhyl. It is home to the smallest cathedral in Britain and is set on the banks of the River Elwy. Dating back to AD560 it is a great location situated on the A55 Expressway making it an ideal base for North Wales. The surrounding area offers peaceful mountain and moorland walks along with a full range of coastal attractions. Population roughly 3500 the local economy thrives, first with the access of the A55 and more recently with a business park, attracting investment from at home and overseas. Amenities include shopping, recreational facilities, school and hospital. Chester is roughly a 30 minute drive and Rhyl within 10 minutes. Trefnant is a small but popular rural hamlet on the road to Denbigh. |
